As you have discovered, Karin, your own blog posts can be a great source of materials if you want to put together ebooks or other publications to sell.

However the same wheel can be driven in both directions!

I have seen people who release small snippets of advice, free of charge via their blogs, from books they have written.

This is a good way to stimulate some interest in the topic, not to mention traffic, and again it does not require hours or days of fresh research and writing, merely a few minutes copyediting at most.

Hi Art

Absolutely right! What's the phrase again: carrot and stick?
Great content - however short - has the ability to attract interested readers/prospect to ask for more. Or at least 'hang-around' for longer.
